passcivicstest.com · Last updated: July 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use passcivicstest.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by Pass Civics Test ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Florida, United States.

We designed the Site to collect as little personal information as possible. You can take every practice test on the Site without creating an account.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. If you purchase our ad-free upgrade, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment card details and email address to process the transaction. We never see or store your full card number. If you check the optional marketing-consent box during checkout, we store your email address and your consent choice so we can send you occasional product updates.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location (city/region level). We also use cookies and similar technologies as described below.

Practice activity. The Site stores your quiz progress and results locally on your device so you can continue where you left off. We also collect aggregated, anonymous statistics about how questions are answered (for example, what percentage of users answer a question correctly) to improve question quality. These statistics are not linked to your identity.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • Essential cookies. If you purchase the ad-free upgrade, we set a secure cookie on your device that tells the Site your upgrade is active. This cookie is required for the feature to work and expires automatically after 30 days.
  • Advertising cookies. We use Google AdSense to display ads to users who have not purchased the ad-free upgrade. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info/choices.
  • Analytics. We may use analytics tools to understand how the Site is used in aggregate.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the ad-free feature from working.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and handled under Stripe's own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. We receive from Stripe a confirmation of your payment, the email address you provided at checkout, the amount paid, and your marketing-consent choice. We store this purchase record to provide the service, handle support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate and improve the Site
  • Provide the ad-free upgrade to purchasers
  • Display advertising to non-purchasers
  • Respond to support requests
  • Send product updates to users who opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing of Information

We share information only with the service providers necessary to run the Site: Stripe (payments), Google (advertising and analytics), Google Firebase (secure storage of purchase records), and our hosting providers (Vercel and Cloudflare). Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Data Retention

Purchase records are retained for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. The ad-free cookie expires automatically after 30 days. Local quiz progress remains on your device until you clear your browser data.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for people preparing for U.S. citizenship and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. If you are a California resident, you may also have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to deletion. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

International Users

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
